Who we are
weatherincyprus.com is run by TKOCY LTD, Cyprus. The site has no accounts and no forms, and it never asks for your name or e-mail.
Google Analytics, only if you agree
If you press “Accept” in the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits: the pages you open, your approximate location (city or country), your device and browser and how you reached the site. Google stores cookies named _ga and _ga_… for up to two years and keeps the reports for the retention period set in our account (at most 14 months). Google Ireland Limited processes the data for us and may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We use no advertising cookies. If you press “No thanks”, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
Stored on your device
Your browser keeps your cookie choice, the last place you looked at and a ten-minute copy of the forecast, so pages open faster. These stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Your location
If you press “My location”, your browser asks whether to share your position. If you allow it, the position stays in your browser for half an hour and is only sent to Open-Meteo to get the forecast for that spot. We never receive or store it, and it is not sent to Google Analytics.
Services your browser connects to
To show the page your browser loads the forecast from Open-Meteo, fonts from Google Fonts, the map library from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and map tiles from Esri. Like any website, these services see your IP address when your browser contacts them.
Server logs
Our server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time, browser) for security and to fix problems. They are deleted after 14 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, have it deleted or object to its use. Contact us through tkocy.com. You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus (dataprotection.gov.cy).
